We love TJ’s at Malchar Wellness Center and we are extra spoiled because the only TJ’s in Rhode Island is located right near our office. Therefore, it’s safe to say that our staff members make a little pit stop on their way home to stock up on the most delicious, convenient and healthy food items on the market. Not to mention, TJ’s has some of the most affordable prices compared to other grocery stores.

Back in 2007 Trader Joe’s made a commitment to eliminate artificial trans fats from all private label products along with artificial flavors, preservatives and GMO ingredients. However, it is still important to always CHECK THE LABELS. TJ’s may consider itself a “health food store” but some of their products have undesirable ingredients that have snuck their way in. Always look for added sugars and vegetable oils in salad dressings, frozen foods, marineras, nut butters etc. If you do end up buying something that was not up to your standards, have no fear because TJ’s has a wonderful return policy. Just take that item back to the store and they will refund you or let you exchange it for something better! Couldn’t find your receipt? No problem, they’ll still do it.
